Metaball Curves and Additional Properties

It is pretty much what the title suggests. I am aware this may not be entirely easy to do or possible but I think giving people a way to basically sorta draw goop and have it absorb into one another like a metaball does, would be very useful. You can already sorta do this with enough metaballs but that gives less than desirable results sometimes and sometimes you just have to constantly throw metaballs at it til it works. With this you will have a bit more control over it, and even would be able to do something akin to liquid control, with less compute and rebake and so on.

I have an additional idea for metaballs in general, add some physics properties like a drip. If you have something with the probability of 100 percent dripping and hit bake out and play animate the object would drip as if it was pure water, and of course, 50 percent means it would drip slowly and so on. Towards whatever down is. Maybe toss in weight paint drip instead or vertex group and so on.

I am aware of liquid sims and such but sometimes you only need subtle liquid sims to make something desirable which would save a lot of time. You could also use cloth after converting metaballs but it would lose the metaball property. With drip you would keep the metaball property so if the drip comes into contact with other metaballs it tries to merge with it somewhat.

This could get out of hand fast with polys and such which you can do a cage variation of a LP render, and baking method but have a high subD for the final product.

This yes could turn metaballs into a low-end liquid sim but I think it could be its own little thing not entirely liquid but not entirely metaball.

A cool name for it would be that metal liquid name in Terminator but that name is a bit too much.

Maybe MImetic Metaball or Mime Metaball. Dunno up to you guys to name it.
