"Rotate View" Buttons

Dear Blender Development Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share a suggestion that I believe would greatly enhance the user experience in Blender, specifically in the viewport. I propose the addition of a dedicated "Rotate View by 90 Degrees Left/Right" button, conveniently located within the edge of the viewport. This feature would provide users with a more efficient and intuitive way to rotate their view.

The current methods of rotating the view in Blender involve using keyboard shortcuts or accessing the View menu. While these options are functional, a dedicated button within the viewport edge would significantly streamline the process. By placing the rotation controls at the user's fingertips, this addition would enhance productivity and ease of use for both new and experienced Blender users alike.

Here are a few key benefits that I believe would result from the inclusion of this feature:

Improved Workflow: With a dedicated button, users can rotate the view by 90 degrees left or right with a single click, saving valuable time and reducing the need for memorizing or searching for keyboard shortcuts.

Accessibility: The button's placement within the viewport edge would provide a more visible and discoverable option for view rotation, especially for newcomers to Blender who might not be familiar with all the available shortcuts.

Enhanced 3D Exploration: The ability to quickly switch between different orientations would greatly aid users in exploring their 3D scenes, examining models from various angles, and better understanding their projects' spatial relationships.

Consistency and User-Friendliness: Many other 3D software applications feature similar viewport controls, making the addition of a dedicated rotation button a desirable feature for Blender users who are accustomed to such functionality.

I understand that the Blender development team faces numerous demands and suggestions, and implementing new features requires careful consideration. However, I believe that the proposed "Rotate View by 90 Degrees Left/Right" button would be an invaluable addition to Blender's viewport controls, greatly benefiting the community as a whole.

Thank you for your time and attention to this suggestion. I genuinely appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Blender development community in creating such an exceptional software package. I look forward to the future advancements and the potential inclusion of this feature, which I believe would contribute significantly to the Blender user experience.

Warm regards, :)

Have you not noticed the XYZ axis buttons in the corner of the viewport?

You already rotate the view with the middle mouse button. Hold alt along with using the middle mouse button. Congratulations.

The Blender fork known as B4Artists has exactly this. I wouldn't get your hopes up about this being in Blender.
