Object angle align in camera view

Hi guys,

I've been working on a major project for the last few weeks, where I had to render almost a hundred product images, all at a specific angle, for which the client could not provide me with any camera data, only the previous frames from their website.

I thought how useful it would be in such cases to have a tool to measure the angle at which the rendered image will be. A movable gadget, a line or a grid that works in camera view only maybe can display multiple helper lines at once.

What do you think?

I think measure tool provides such feature already. If you want more diverse functionality look into "measure it" addon (comes included)

this is an inelegant solution to a part of the problem, but I was thinking of something that could be saved in the camera settings to be transferred with the camera to another project later.

well, just checked it out how it fits to your request. The good thing is Measureit overlays can be rendered, but the bad thing it measures angles only in edit mode, so it will require additional object for this matter

I guess rendering the guides wouldn't make much sense, I'd rather have a layout with guides that can be saved, exported, or linked directly to the camera. Guide lines showing for example where the halfway point of the rendered image is, perpendicular and vertical guide lines and angle measurement options.

Maybe also golden ratio and rule of thirds grid lines.

Golden ratio and thirds guides already present in camera properties, under viewport Display/Compositing guides. Take a look

That's nice, I didn'know that, thank you for pointing it out!

I'll tell you more, you can attach images to camera view, which in your case could've contain guiding you want. And it's quite easy to transfer between blend files

Man, you are a genius, you just helped me so much! That's really a nice workaround for this problem. Thank you very very much!

like the spy addon/tool ?

No. Rather, a simple feature similar to Photoshop or After Effects guides, with the option to use guides that can be rotated at a given angle.
