Have a checkbox selection in Proximity Node to capture all objects inside the one being tested.
I ran into this the other day. In my mind, a closed, manifold object is solid. There are times when you only want the boundary to be tested against, but it would be nice to see whether an object was fully contained within another. You cannot get closer in proximity than inside. The underlying math should already be in the code for the proximity node, it just needs to be toggled on and off by the user.

This can be achieved via SDFs
Yes, I know, but SDFs are rather specialized and not always appropriate. Besides, the code to determine proximity would also show which objects are completely inside and outside the object in question. It is a function of the math. It's just not utilized in the implementation.
