Smoothed edges
I did sweep a star shaped profile along a curving path. The profile was sharp, but along the sweep it got smoothed (lower picture below), so that it was not sharp anymore. I did sharpen it back with AI:s quiding like follows:
reitti = bpy.data.objects["Reitti_001"]
bpy.context.view_layer.objects.active = reitti
reitti.select_set(True)
bpy.ops.object.shade_flat()
bpy.ops.object.convert(target='MESH')
AI also did not know, if there is a tool in the menus for removing the unwanted smoothing of edges.
Actually I was also not able to find a tool or setting which would have set caps for the sweeped profile. It looks hollow, even as I tried to have it solid.

Hi, welcome to RCS.
This is a platform to elaborate and discuss feature proposals, not to get support on how to use Blender. Other platforms like blender.stackexchange.com or blenderartists.org are better suited for this.
Also bear in mind that learning to use a 3DCC software is hard enough without scripting, but it's much harder to script with an API you don't know to control a software of which you don't know the inner workings of.

I just wonder in the text how AutoCAD is so easy to use from console.
The console commands actually hides some sort of script behind and they just ask some critical dimensions to draw for example a "helix". Just height, turns and diameter. Then it makes the path for a spring.
I think it is a proposal to think that Blender should have the console line also made similar. I think some "Rhino 3d" had similar console, but the software was other ways bad.
AutoCAD has big problems with handling large objects and has problems with slow rendering. And also it is expensive (not free).
Thats the reason I would make similar console, then they would get like new fans to Blender.
Weird that 3D-drawing has to be hard. I think it is easy as eating.
