Ability to set the timeline length to infinite
Hello everyone.
Currently, the maximum length of the timeline is set to 1048574 frames (12:08:10+14). It would be great if you could set an unlimited length here.
When working with raw data on larger projects, you quickly exceed this length and can no longer work properly. In common video editors, the timeline can be dynamically extended without any length limitation.
Could someone please add this option? It would be extremely helpful!
Thanks in advance. :)

How?
I've professionally edited video for decades, and this hasn't been an issue.
Hi,
For example, I often find myself in a situation where I have to place a lot of very long videos in a row and then speed them up as a whole.
Due to the limitation, this is not so easy to do and it would simplify things a lot if it didn't exist.
And as fish_studios already wrote in his comment, it wouldn't be a bad thing to have fewer limitations so that Blender could offer a suitable workflow and solutions for everyone. :)
How about a dynamic End Frame value that increases or decreases based on the contents of the timeline? Then it wouldn't matter what the explicit length was until its defined by need. Otherwise the timeline could definitely use a more interactive way to define duration, like with handles or a In/Out point
Hi,
Thank you for your comment and please excuse the late reply.
That sounds like a great idea too. :) I really like it and had already thought about it recently. The same goes for your idea with the handles and in/out points.
Overall, this would definitely make the VSE more user-friendly and bring it in line with industry standards.
I don't know why someone would make a video longer than 12 hours, but it seems like a good idea to resolve limitations :)
I also think that very few people will do this. :)
A useful example is when you have a lot of long videos and you want to put them all together and then speed everything up. In other words, a time-lapse recording.
I often have this situation, for example, where I exceed the previous 12 hours with the raw material.
As you said, it's definitely a good idea to remove the limitation here.
