Blender file view - switch to the dir by chart

Right now user in Blender file view - switch to the dir is possible by searching, but windows explorer etc. giving option to find dir by clicking char, eg. "Z" to be on end list and find near dir.. This weakens of implementation often giving dissonance between OS and application.
