indicator for onionskin on/off
Some indicator for Onionskin on/off would be nice, example on dope sheet's "layers", like Toonboom have.
It'll make more clear is it on or off, when drawing and will know better is drawing wrong or is it just just onionskin which is showing.
Example I like turn it on on and off with shortcut (SHIFT-O). And for workflow it would better, if it shows clearly.

If you enable View > Show Sliders in the dope sheet, it will show OS toggles for the layers. Not sure how a toggle is a "slider", or why it's not separated into its own option, but that's just the way she goes.
Thank you, that's great to know! But sorry, it's not excatly what I meant. I was looking for that would show overall info if onionskin is on or off, not just by layer.

Where would this overall info be though? The dope sheet? The problem with that is that, as far as I know, there is no overall OS toggle option for the GP object. You can toggle it on and off in the viewport GP overlay options, but that is a per viewport setting. So you can have one viewport that shows OS and another on the same screen that doesn't. If you had an OS toggle in the dopesheet, which viewport would it show the toggle for?
I guess maybe what you're looking for is just a global OS toggle that ANDs with the viewport toggles to determine if OS is shown?
I update original post with image. So there could be button on upper sceen, when on draw mode, color would show if it's on or off.
I made a small addon that adds the OS toggle to the 3D viewport header. Unfortunately, it adds it on the right side, but there's not much I can do about that

It's small thing, but have big benefit, when it's showing while drawing insted like now being just checkbox under "draw grease pencil"-dropdown menu.
