an inbuilt screen cast keys

All of the screen cast keys addons that i've tried have various issues. One of the main issues is that key presses can't be captured once blender is inside a modal. For example move (g) or scale (s) are modals. This means addons can't capture the z key and the value 10 if you press s and then press z 10 to scale by a factor of 10 on the z axis.

To get it to work the blenders modal code needs updating to report in modal keypresses to the screen if enabled.

In the meantime, can anyone recommend an obs key caster plugin that works well with blender?
