Blender 2.8 game engine

How to make games in blender 2.8? At present, I haven't found a game engine in blender 2.8. I hope to add this function.

Why not use another engine? The Blender game engine was never popular or good. If you don't know what engine to pick, try Godot. Godot is free, and lots of people use it.

Well, two things :

  • The old game engine has been removed in the shift to the 2.8 version since it was no longer maintained and was slowing down the general development a lot.
  • We are now pretty close to the 3.0 version and the 3.x serie that come with it, so there is no point wishing about adding a feature for 2.8.

If you want to use the game engine, you can either go back to the 2.79 version or the better solution would be to join the UPBGE project that continue to maintain it through the newest version of Blender.

no, it's gone forever. "official" blender game engine is dead.

if you want a game engine based on Blender you'll have to look into one of the various forks, such as UPBGE which has already been mentioned.
