Coordinates for selections

It might be that somebody wished for this, but it isn't implemented so far. I am learning blender at the moment, and regarding modeling, it feels - only for the measurements - still very slow compared to c4d. As I prefer all other things on blender, I hope it can be implemented. Those arch plugins or measure plugins are no way around. For example; you model a shelf; want to know the exact measurement of a selection and instantly change it to a different height; it takes so long to get there. In C4d you have your coordinates open; instantly see the value of the selection and can change size, position and rotation. In Blender you have to open a tool and need to think. If this would be implemented lots of C4d users would finally change their main app I think, as Maxon really bugs their user since a few years and lots of them are totally unhappy. Please please! Blender has so many great modeling tools, not to forget mesh machine or hard ops; I think it's the last needed thing to finally rule the world. :-)

Here you can see what blender misses. You are very quick in c4d as you instantly see how lang certain selections are. If Blender would have something like this It would be a blast.

...sorry for the search for how to stop the screenrecording in the end; I lastly did that before 4 years. :-D

Link doesn't work

You can add the "edge lenght" option in your quick menu. Or having the N pannel to see bounding box size. i.imgur.com/HRJ2gCX.jpeg and i.imgur.com/u0SpbsX.jpeg

now the link should work. Edge length is different as you see in the video. Its ok for when you have only 2 -3 edges with simple length but when you have more it gets complicated as you have to calculate the single length together.

Please rewrite your post to be short and clear and to the point. Add screenshot of C4D with the relevant area circled.
