Mark Actions(animations) as Assets in Asset Browser to use in other projects

There should be an option in blender to mark actions(animations) as assets in asset browser. That way we can drag and drop animations and use it like iclone. In iclone animator just drag and drop animations on characters. We can do the same thing if its possible to mark actions as assets.

We already have non-linear animations, similar to animation layers in iclone. We just need to add the option to mark the animation as assets.

If these option comes, the library will be automatically created by the artists, and start sharing to each other, because have big community!!! But first we need have these option!!!!

This is on our todo list. Dr Sybren even made a prototype for this during last years conference. However we have no planned date for this yet

in that conference he has not mentioned anything about marking action into asset browser!!!

it was a prototype he developed during the conference. Not presented officially

btw you can already mark an action as an asset if that is all you are after. What's really missing are tools to drag/drop action assets into places in a useful way.
