Studio Lighting node
Simple, just a node that would allow us to access all the built-in hdris and matcaps directly in the shader editor…
This will allow us to easily use the installed hdris and matcaps for rendering... 😉
Edit: As was not very clear before, the same viewport settings related with the hdris and matcaps should be included in the node as well..

just add sl-folder to favorites. studiolights are actual to workbench only Matcaps can be wrapped to geometry with current nodes.
lol you did not undertand the proposal. functionality like this is what makes a software great vs mediocre. you should try other software more, that's the only way to understand what's happening here. it's really a shame to still see blender users with this kind of retarded mentality. 🤦♂️
I get it, It would be nice to have handy solution to match the render bg to the viewport bg. I would like this special node to include also the rest of the settings and keep them in sync or at least the rotation. Otherwise it's just a shortcut for the datafiles\studiolights folder that you can set into Favourites in the File Browser.
Yes, the settings should be included ofc... I didn't mention it because I thought it was obvious lol...
Cool! Then please make amend. I think you know how the proposals here tend to get polluted by unnecessary comments if they do not offer enough info. You can never assume implied aspects as obvious when it comes to design.
What problem does this solve? Define the problem and you may find there are other solutions already proposed here.
what, can't read? he literally said in the post what it solves: "easily use the installed hdris and matcaps for rendering"
what's wrong with the people here? damn
There's no easy way to access those installed assets in the shader editor, hence the request.. Digging around into the directories to use something that is already being used and displayed inside the application makes no sense... this will put an end to all this hassle...
The problem: Viewport rendering vs final rendering of your scene do not match because the HDRIs and MatCaps packaged with Blender cannot be directly accessed to be used for the final product.
The solution: Create new shader nodes that access the built in libraries inside Blender and sync them with the viewport settings so they match.
