Option to Drag Origin as if it was a mesh
Been googling this for a bit cannot find it not sure if it exists but in mirror modifier, it seems to the only function around origin this is all fine and stuff but when you want the origin to line up a specific way you have to put 3D cursor at X location, and then set as origin, and then repeat til you got it precisely where you want it. This is all fine and stuff when you do not care for precise placement but when you want something to be specifically in a specific location within a gnats butt hair it kinda gets old fast doing this. Like you have to do it 20 plus times. If you had the option to drag the origin along xyz this would be so much easier. Again it may exist but I can make me googling for UE4 stuff take me to a Christian site soooo...

This already exists, in the 3D view in the options dropdown under 'affect only' select 'Origins' and when you drag an object you drag it's origin.
I added this to quick favorites menu docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/scene_layout/object/tools/tool_settings.html
Hi , have you tried using a mirror object in the modifier? generally an Empty is used. Also you can editi the origin directly, 3D-View >options(in header)->origin
