New Collection From Selection
I'd love to be able to highlight objects in the outliner, then open the context menu and group them into a new collection.
at the moment clicking new collection doesn't add the object to that collection.

if you press M, it'll create a new collection with the selected ones inside.
Such a proposal has already been made, even much more reasonable than yours. About working with collections, highlighting, copying, filling.

yeah.. It's funny that the shortcut (move to collection) it will create a collection with the objects inside. Its even weird that the new collection wont respect the hierarchy
