Blender 2.9 Primitive Drawing Tool Request: Grid Snapping

The tool I'm referring to: developer.blender.org/T57210 This tool is really cool so far, but in its current state it's no where near its end goal, which I'm sure is being worked on. Hopefully on the tools agenda is support for the current snap tool settings, or at least grid snapping, as I'm not seeing that listed as a future feature. For how the grid snapping would work is pretty simple, it snaps to the grid wherever, or how I'm thinking is increments the size of the grid. This would give greater control over sizes with the tool, instead of requiring tweaking after you've made a shape. It'd also be neat to be able to see the length, width, and height of the thing you're drawing, though this may be asking too much.

The only problem I could see happening with this is drawing on slanted surfaces. I don't think there would be a way to allow grid snapping unless you were to somehow let the user control where the grid were to fall. If you could somehow let the user freely move the origin of the grid to a point of their choosing, I could see this being really really good, but if it doesn't allow it to work on slanted surfaces it's perfectly fine without it and wouldn't be worth the extra effort.

"Slanted surfaces" -- sounds like you want Work Planes, which A) would be GREAT, and B) you should make another proposal, although that one's prolly been made 1K times.
