History Panel
hello , the idea is really simple :
move the current hidden ctrl alt z "undo history" menu inside of a proprety panel
( either in the render tab , render layers or scene , dont really matters )
why ? So that users could always have a look of their actions and undo limits, inside of a handy menu that they choose to be always on sight, like photoshop .
and this would come with another big plus :
the capacity to retain a step of the history
why ? this is a sort of a "save points" in video games , instead of carefully saving the file in another name and trying the little ideas you have in mind , you just "save" the history step , and no matter if you go trough the limit of undo steps , you just have to click on you saved slots and voila , you are safe, this is a kind of emergency button you click when you f*cked up .
this technique is already present in photoshop and it work incredibly well
thanks

Please split this into two requests. I can only agree to the second one. The first one would clutter the interface in my opinion.
@Emil Assarsson: Agreed. This really is two separate proposals.
really nice , i agree , this is already a life saver in photoshop
with an numerical indicator or for example last step first, etc.
Noo, property panel is already pretty crowded. Let's not add another tab for no reason.
@Anderson Omori: "no more feature because de dont have the space" what a bad excuse man
@dorianborremans: It's not a matter of features. Just the idea of adding a huge list in a place that are ment to keep settings for the related tools and assets. I agree with Omori.
I've replaced the ctrl+z shortcut with ctrl+alt+z functionality for several years now. It's hands down used every time the software's open.
I'm only concerned where the UI implementation can be made intuitive in that it saves time and feels not-in-the-way.
@Predrag Lazic: Hello. Dont Forget you can hide it not as you want , it dépend for peuple préférences , dont Forget a lot or users have more than one screen
i have never used the history in blender :(
@Luciano Muñoz: not even a lot of users know it exist
true that
@loic.dautry: Yes because its hidden in a secret shortcut
