Add texture management to the Asset Manager and include an option to enlarge thumbnails on mouse hover.
Currently, texture maps are mainly managed through the file manager. Theoretically, it may seem unnecessary to add them to the Asset Manager, but I believe this is a highly necessary measure. It means that when I drag and drop textures, I only need to open one additional window instead of two. Moreover, I think this could enable more detailed organization—for example, linking or packaging textures of the same material within the Asset Manager, or batch renaming or tagging materials. At present, we rely heavily on external software like Eagle, and I believe Blender could draw more references from Eagle’s various features in terms of asset management. Additionally, I think it would be a good option if Node Wrangler could automatically recognize and link a set of dragged textures, then create corresponding basic nodes.
Regarding the second point: when creating material assets, even the largest thumbnails still fail to effectively display highly recognizable information. Implementing an auto-playing, larger, and customizable enlarged preview when hovering the mouse would be a great feature to enhance the user experience.
