Right-Click select may not be a best name for this site.

It is a bit puzzling that a site about ideas to improve Blender is named after what is probably its most controversial feature. This may in turn make some users, especially ones new to Blender, skeptical about its purpose, and make them a bit reluctant to contribute.

Right-Click select was historically a bad idea, and has caused Blender's reputation quite a bit of harm, so it's an odd choice to name a website dedicated to collecting good ideas after a bad idea :)

The name choice was purposeful, just like the original decision for that feature in Blender. Approaches to selection are one of the many things that people have ideas and proposals about in relation to Blender. And this particular style of selection is certainly something that's unique to Blender. So it makes sense from both a logic and branding perspective. Also, it's funny.

As such... as this is a volunteer-run site... and as long as I'm that volunteer, I don't expect that the name will be changing.

Separately, your proposal makes the assumption that right-click selecting is a bad idea. That's a contentious and subjective position that is up for debate... but not here. :)

@Jason van Gumster: After all, if right click selection was such a bad thing, then maybe it would be a long time since we wouldn't have had to talk about it again.

@Jason van Gumster: Suggestion sites are a bridge between developers and the community. Why would you name that bridge after something you feel is contentious?

@macklehatton: As I said in the first paragraph: Because it's funny and it's memorable and it's distinctly related to Blender.

Indeed, i found and said earlier that the name is really appropriate, ironic and just... Right!
