Allow reverse orbit direction for trackpads
I am using a Mac laptop, with scrolling set to "natural," which is pretty much the default for MacBooks. To use it with Blender, I have to open System Preferences and reset that scroll direction, then set it back when I turn to other things. A setting would be very useful. If not that, perhaps a discussion of how this could be achieved using Python.

I was about to create my own idea request as I thought this was a linux specific problem, I expected mac users to be much louder about this if it was an issue over there as well. I don't even know what kind of person would want to use unnatural scrolling for 2D content but natural scrolling for orbiting in 3D.
It seems to me like the track pad orbiting controls are an oversight caused by someone who doesn't actually use a trackpad. The way I see it, simply inverting the trackpad orbiting controls for everyone should result in orbiting that feels 'natural' for both people who use natural scrolling and unnatural scrolling.
Or maybe I should submit my own idea since my solution differs and I can back up my reasoning. Is that what we do here?
