Drag to fill

Fill multiple strokes by clicking and dragging the fill bucket, ideally using the functionality from Adobe Animate and/or Toon Boom Harmony.

Adobe Animate instantly fills any object when the mouse is held down and dragged over an object. Toon Boom Harmony uses Box select / Marquee select to define all the objects to be filled. Blender can do all three.

Toon Boom Harmony has these paint modes according to their documentation, which can be implemented into Blender:

  • The Paint mode paints everything it touches, including empty and filled zones.
  • The Paint Unpainted mode paints only empty zones. Any line or filled zone will remain unchanged.
  • The Repaint mode paints everything it touches except empty zones. Any zone that is not painted will remain intact.
  • The Unpaint mode unpaints everything it touches, including empty and filled zones.
