Multi-column sidebar, instead of floating N panel. Like photoshop/substance/3dcoat etc.

Problem: Wanna organise the N panel according my needs/workflow. Wanna have more than one visible tab add the same time.

Proposal: Sidebar instead of a floating N panel, where u can drag and drop around the Addons/tabs as u wish, so u can see multiple addons together.

Good examples:

  • Photoshop,
  • Substance Painter,
  • 3Dcoat
  • and else....

In the meantime you can check out the tutorials of sybren on making your own addon with a tab in the N Panel with EVERY option you need.

This would be good. Also an option to have the N-panel fill the entire vertical space, with the contents of the next tab already open below the contents of the current tab. The panel could be scroll-wheeled through from tab to tab, or the tab headers could be used to jump around.
