Filename Token System

One of my favorite features of C4D is the filename token system in the rendering setup. Basically this allows you to use variable tokens like $YYYY for the year, $M for the month, etc in your file naming to get automatically sorted and named renders.

For example, this in your filename area...

"Tests_$YYYY_$M_$D/MyProject_TestRenders_$YYYY_$M_$D_Frame_###.png"

Would get you this upon rendering.

"Tests_2019_11_23/MyProject_TestRenders_2019_11_23_Frame_001.png"

A new directory, with today's date, with filenames uniquely tagged with todays date. There are lots of other tokens, like render engine, user, software version, etc. But these are by far the most handy as far as I'm concerned. Helps you stay really organized without a ton of effort.

This should be easy to do with an addon.

* @Matthias Patscheider * Man, wish my python chops were good enough to do it. Really handy feature.
