Display Units On Grid During Zoom
I use Blender for a lot of 3D printing. I have found that it's so easy to lose your scale when you are starting a new project. Especially when moving from 2.7x to 2.8x. So I was hoping, perhaps, that when a scroll wheel event occurred, or a CTRL+MMB changed the grid display, it would momentarily display the scale size.
As in a momentary label on the X axis. Just a quick up and fade type thing that shows 1m. Or 1mm, or 2ft, etc. It doesn't really matter. It just looks at your settings and let's you know where you are at. That way until you get a lot of model going and have a good reference to keep scaling to, it would be nice to make sure you could see where you're at, at the beginning of a model.

Yes. And eliminate the need to add a new cube to know at which scale you are
WOnder why this is still not there?
