"Alt + Enter" to apply changes to the entire selection should be an option
I personnaly found confusing to select 10 objects, change a setting somewhere and seeing the change only happening on the last selected one ( active object ). To affect the entire selection, you need to validate by holding "ALT", and I think this should be in the preference of blender
add a toogle :
Affect all Objects by default / ALT to affect active object
or
Affect active object by default / ALT to affect all <-- which is the current behaviour.
Thanks

Totally agree with this. This would become very handy for animators which often need to reset controller's transform.
Would this not destroy the relative functionality the current system allows? For example if you have one box with a x scale of 1 and another with an x scale of 0.5, if you select both (0.5 active) and change the value from 0.5 to 0.6, then pressing alt + enter changes the 0.5 to 0.6, and changes the 1 to 1.1 ( increasing both by the same value).
If you press alt when clicking into the box, then both boxes change to the same value.
in most cases you can Alt+click to property and edit for all selected objects, or alt-drag. It works with transformations and modifier options for example. But yes, many options missed.
