Multiple keyboards with differently bound key actions
I have two keyboards and would like to use keyboard #1 as usual and keyboard #2 mapped in another way, e.g. Q on keyboard #1 emits a different character or modifier code than keyboard #2. Currently the two keyboards are considered equal.
Possible use case: I have a separate numeric keyboard, and would like to use key 1,2,3 instead of MMB actions for pan, rotate, zoom, as the MMB button push or drag is really damaging my hand.

This needs support at the OS level first. I remember there used to be a windows program a long time ago that allowed remapping keys on a second keyboard such as keyboard one a would give you lowercase a and keyboard 2 a could give you uppercase A. But for lowercase "a" on keyboard one to do something in blender different from lowercase "a" on keyboard 2 would require a lot of work within blender without some kind of support for this feature at the OS level first.
Actually you can, but you need Logitech gears. And the Logitech Unifying Receiver.
