Loopcut and Slide for Vertices

When adding a vertice loopcut on edges that are not connected forming a face, the vertice is always added to the middle and doesn't allow for the automatic sliding.

Would be good if it could slide the same as when adding edges.

It's a small quality of life tweak but would be cool to have.

You can sort of do that. Select vertex, Alt+D then G, to slide. That only makes one new vertex off course. So your suggestion is still an upvote.

You gotta be selecting a vertice though. Didn't know this existed but interesting tool. Thanks for the upvote!

I didn't know also before I tried :D The same can be done with an edge and the result is super strange.
