Change system GPU from command line

I have some headless render servers set up, and while it's very easy to setup the blender software to run through SSH, it's currently impossible set Blender to use a CUDA device from the command line.

Being able to list and select Cuda devices would be fantastic.

It isn't impossible. You just need to use a little Python. You can either invoke a script that selects the desired device or you can use the --python-expr command line flag and include the Python expression there.
