create new meshes aligned to the custom transform orientation.

I've set a custom transform orientation, and now when I add a box I want it to be inserted aligned to my custom transform orientation rather than global.

I have a house which is rotated, so I want the new cubes to align properly so I can boolean out the doors etc.

Good idea ! I propose however a different approach using the new 3D cursor which (I think) is really 3D in Blender 2.80.

My proposal: using the 3D cursor Location + Rotation (+ Scale ?)

That means adding rotation properties to the corresponding panel in the 3D view. Currently, it is only possible to set the location of the 3D cursor. If we are able to also set the rotation of the 3D cursor, it will be one step further to use location and rotation of the 3D cursor as a reference for the creation of new objects.

And finally, why not also adding the scale properties to the 3D cursor in order to initialize the scale of the newly created object at the same time ?

@pcsd24:

I like what you're saying, apart from the scale part. I'd probably end up forgetting the scale of the cursor, and generally when I import assets I like them to be their correct size.

Definitely when right clicking to drop the 3d cursor down, it would be nice if it respected the selected coordinate mode, so it would align to normal automatically if normal mode was currently selected.
