A specific version of Blender for OpenBIM architects

Dear friends, maybe some of you be architects and building engineers, so I think a specific version of Blender which supports OpenBIM based on Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) is needed

A specific version that has building components/elements like Floor, Wall, Roof, Door, Window, etc and is completely parametric (user can change instances, types, attributes, etc realtime).

What do you think?

Here's the thing, though. Blender isn't a parametric modeler. It really doesn't have any of the tools of a parametric modeler (let alone the mathematical floating point precision under the hood). You'd have to either add an entirely new primitive type to support this or you'd have to find a way to shoehorn a wrapper around meshes. The latter is actually more achievable than the former, but it could very easily become a kludgy mess.

* @Jason van Gumster * I clearly know what am I going to build. I need Blender community help and know that it will revolutionize the built environment industry

Thiese two can help to build such a platform: github.com/IfcXtreme/flood github.com/LLK/scratch-gui

* @Ehsan Azari * Is this a feature that you're developing yourself? That wasn't clear in your initial proposal.

* @Jason van Gumster * I have something in mind that not only will improve Blender a lot, but also Blender and Blender community will have specific software to model and simulate buildings as easy as possible.

I work on IfcXtreme project but it's so important, for this reason, I didn't include more info on GitHub yet: github.com/IfcXtreme/IfcXtreme

* @Ehsan Azari * I think you're going to have to get a lot more specific. This site isn't really for vagaries like "I have something in mind". It's for concrete, specific feature proposals, preferably to serve as design documents for development. This is not the place to go for drumming up interest in something.

* @Jason van Gumster * Thanks for your guidance. I will find a place to be and will develop something more advanced than coping other features from other software
