I would really like the old pose library back.

It was once the case that if I wanted to save a pose for later use. Al l I had to do is to make sure I have the bones I want saved then click Armature tab> Add Pose>Save as x pose. Boom done! Now instead I have to click animation tab>create pose asset>swap to the asset browser>open sidepanel to rename. Another issue is that these big thumbnails make it so that the asset library is harder to look through. Having to do these extra steps also takes up more time.

Alternatively a good idea may be to make it so that

  1. Thumbnails can be turned off.
  2. New poses can be renamed immediately after creation.

Doing this would probably also make the new method as efficient as the pose library. However I actually opted to use blender 3.2 because of this.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it. This was good enough, no need to remove it. I can't believe you can't just press a button again to update an existing pose. Saying "you just have to open the animation editor and modify the keyframes" is like saying "if you want to turn on you car you just have to open up the hood and move some wires". Of course you can do it, but it's a ridiculous way of doing it considering we had a button for that.

To this day I find the new Asset Library workflow for poses too tedious and ineficcient, so I have made my own addon to replace it:
