Local view with local to global orientation

The local view option isolates the selected objects in a view port, which is great for a clutter free workflow.

I believe what is missing however is the option to orientate the world coordinates to the orientation of the active object. Meaning that the global axis align with the local orientation as if the active object has its rotation reset.

A feature like this is useful for cases where symmetrical mesh editing or sculpting is desired. Overall I think it would simplify the way we approach transformed objects.

Once you move out of the local view the global axis default back to the standard orientation.

Additionally if the active object has scaling, perhaps an option to "disable" it in local view could also help further edit objects in a more uniform way.
