An old add-on used to have this functionality, it also had the ability to use text files. Unfortunately it is out of date (but up to anyone to bring back to life!).
I would love if they behave more like the "frame" layout node, less distracting to me. Just a layout that you can write in, change color, and I would push for cahnging font as well.
Yeah i would love to have this. Seems like a small thing to do. The node wouldn't really have to have any connections or anything. I work with multiple people on node trees and it would be great if we leave each other some notes in the node tree.
We tried to do it with the text editor in blender but its not great because you need to write in depth where to find that particular node in the tree since you might have 25 multiply nodes :P

Ahhh nice find! So you add a frame node, then add a text file in the text editor, then assign it. It's a little clunky, but it works :)
