Edit selected numbers with arrow keys

When you are editing numeric value fields, it would be good to have a feature in that selector that can be used to select the number just by using arrow keys

Mouse over number selector: up -> increase number.

Down -> decrease number.

Shift + up -> increase number with x 10 speed.

Shift + down -> decrease number with x 10 speed.

(This is very common behavior in Photoshop when editing numbers or moving objects. And it is very handy.) Here is a gif of how you edit the amount of noise with photoshop just using arrow keys and shift and numbad.

10 years and this still hasn't been implemented. TEN!!! Good lord.

Should this be activated when hovering over a numerical value or when the user has clicked the region for typing explicit values? Or should it be both?

Maybe both, but in Photoshop you select the number and then you can edit it's value with arrows.

While it's nice to know how other programs work, the most important thing is fitting within Blender's general approach. Personally, I'm inclined to think that working on both hover and after click would be best. My only concern with the hover approach would be the chance that someone might accidentally change a value, but in practice, I think that's not so likely... so both should be fine (and we save a click!)

It actually needs little testing for the developer when the day comes to think about this feature little more. I really trust those guys that they know what they are doing. I just gave an idea and hope that they have time for it some day. :)
