The possibility to call ANY blender modelling function in geometry node (like grid fill, bridge, bevel edge, to circle/sphere....)

TBH I don't understand why this is not natively the case. I assume there is a technical limitation I am not aware of.

In rhinoceros grasshopper (CAD program extremely similar to geometry nodes), every nodes are just the Rhinoceros core program features, but to be used as node.

Yes. Pre-GN things cannot be just made avaliable.

Also. The reason some functions are not made for geometry nodes is that no one made them yet.

And visa versa allow for any geometry nodes, to be turned into a modifier panel.

Absolutely. This thing i miss from modo where many direct modeling tools have procedural counterparts:

  • push (point, edge, polygon)
  • bevel/extrude/chamfers (point, edge, polygon, points on curves, polylines)
  • point and edge slides
  • loop cut
  • booleans
  • and many many more...

All of those support procedural selections, modifiers, arrays, fallofs, gizmos, parts of model as controllers...

System there is a bit limited (no for each and other stuff which blender have and is superior in - but in basic(!) procedural modeling operation... it loses.

Users are basically required to recreate very common tools from scratch.. and it's not only fighting with math (which often is quite complex) but also geo nodes specific language and nuances and tons and tons of nodes needed to create very basic tools...
