Turn ON/OFF render layers

Isn't it like, currently Blender renders always all the render layers when we hit F12?

While rendering complex scenes this becomes an issue, the option to render just one RL at a time in the compositor is great, but quite often a few of them need to be re-rendered.

Muting nodes in compositor doesn't work, and would be a great and intuitive way to do so!
