Adaptive Domain for mantaflow fluid simulation
I think that adding a adaptive domain like there is in gas simulations to the fluid simulations would make the fluid simulations a lot lighter.
Also a way to scale down the whole particle system simulation without messing with the results

& developer.nvidia.com/rendering-technologies/neuralvdb - the first link is just a paper, but the second link is actually something nvidia is willing to share with companies with an important use case, they give a development-kit to applicants with proper credentials, if somebody at blender would get going on this, that would be cool.
the old dev. is not working for blender company anymore .. simulation Module is more ore less free for anybody to step in ..
