Topological move brush
- Topological move brush it is very helpful brush for sculpting some close details, like lips, eyes, fingers .
It works the same way as Proportional editing in blender - in mode "connected". Need to implement it for sculpt brushes in the same way ( not sure if it possible) . and it must work with Multi resolution modifier. So for example we have lips close to each other . With topology move we can change upper lip in the middle , and it will not affect lower lip in the middle . In Edit Mode with proportional editing in mode "connected" it works good in blender , but it much more comfortable to have it working in sculpt mode with Multi resolution. Was similar post blender.community/c/rightclickselect/Vhbbbc/make-brushes-following-the-mesh-surface But maybe my explanation gives more clear understanding what we want or how to implement it.
Thanks in advance , I hope I explained everything clearly.

+1. This is actually part of a recent GSOC ( wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/GoogleSummerOfCode/2017 last one in the list) but the work was left unfinished, hopefully it gets picked up by someone else. I would dig that.
This is two different ideas bundled into a single proposal. I strongly recommend that you split your #2 into a proposal post of its own.
This feature has been implemented with the inclusion of "Auto-Masking" by "Topology". It can be improved further to use geodesic distances like recent updates to the proportional editing but the core feature is there.
An implementation of a geodesic falloff for the Grab brush has been started already in the sculpt-dev branch. So I'll mark this as "In Development"
Jason van Gumster Ok , I will make it.
Caetano Veyssières - I have seen this , but as I understand it works only with dynotopo , and not works with Multi resolution modifier. Also it takes more time to select and mask it in that way, Topological brush make it much faster( you need just move, nothing else) . Your way is only a spare case until they will make topology-brush .
@Andrew karpilenko: Yep, it is. I just mentioned it to make the wait a bit less painful. And good point, it doesn't work with multires.
