Support for Audio Channel/Audio Layer in video files
As far as I understand, when importing video, blender works only with 1 audio track, ignoring the rest. This is very inconvenient. Video format is a great way to store several independent audio (at least the space occupied on the disk is noticeably lower). I think it would be cool if there was an option to select an audio layer and then edit it into a video without having to load several separate audio files.

I think a better term instead of " Audio Channel/Audio Layer " would be " audio multitracks ".
Because in our context, channels are AFAIK most often meant as how many channels within the same track: mono, stereo, 2.1, 5.1, 7.1... And "Layers" are AFAIK most commonly used in the sense of multiple strips "in editing" that we "layer together" to form a final track.
But audio tracks, video tracks, and even subtitles, yes.
When I talk about audio tracks I mean how it works in MPC where you can select independent audio (if any) For example, you downloaded a movie and it may contain several independent tracks with different localizations
