Add more objects to the "add cube" tool
The add cube/mesh tool in the left sidebar currently only supports Cube, Cone, Cylinder, UV-Sphere and Ico-Sphere. It would be great to have some additional base meshes there as well for quick access as this tool is really handy for quickly whiteboxing scenes and objects as well as for modelling.
Proposal 1:
I suggest adding plane, circle, torus as they are used quite commonly like cube and sphere. Additionally added could be grid, basic curve and empty types, however having too many options may be counterproductive.
Proposal 2: (suggested by CraigJones in the comments)
Change the add cube tool to be able to set individual assets as prefabs for the tool. Could be either primitives, or custom objects (e.g. from the outliner or an asset file).
The first proposal is probably the easiest to implement as only a few objects have to get added to the selection, proposal 2 may be better for users but is alo harder to implement (Maybe this should be added as another tool?)

I suggest one better - a choice of your own asset from your library, as a primitive.
That's the way to.
That's indeed a great suggestion. If i'm not mistaken, this freedom does not exist yet?
At the moment of this post, NO.
There is a addon / extension that insert more objects, but nothing "user made", since the addon / extension works inside of Blender.
Blender 4.2 and 4.3 have a "redesign" in some areas, they are using "assets shelves" to brushes and more, so in a near future this can be a real thing.
