Better Video editing Features

I think there should be way more features in the Video Editing part of a blender, it's really hard to find editing software that's free and won't slap a watermark on the final export, I have noticed that you can't just add a basic chroma key like in other software or ability to add gifs right into the timeline, you need to turn the gif into an image sequence to make it work. All I ask is to add some more functionality to the editing software, like Chroma key, more effects strip to add to videos/Audio, preset filters, GIFS and more than a basic editing software has.
