Make Extrude Manifold work as Smart Extrude in 3ds Max

There are "bugs" with Extrude Manifold that prevent me from using it. I want it to be more predictable.

3ds Max added the same tool called Smart Extrude which works properly. It would be awesome if Extrude Manifold worked the same way.
