Adding native Wayland support?

Currently, Blender looks blurry on Linux when using the Wayland compositor with fractional scaling (because it runs on Xwayland instead of native Wayland). It is still usable so I'm not reporting this as a bug, but it looks bad.

As Blender is rendering all its GUIs by itself anyway, I guess adding support to native Wayland shouldn't be difficult?

I can add also that there is a current bug in the Nvidia driver that glitches the UI of Blender like crazy in wayland environments. (running Blender as a xwayland app).

I saw that there is some compilation flags to run Blender as a wayland app but never tried and seems a bit unmantained?
