Add more Sidebars/N-Panels by horizontal split, create custom N-panels by "Editor Area".

Hello there!

Why there is no ability to add separate N-panels to the editor area?

Right now N-panel can be only used in the 3D-viewport area, this forces the user to use only single N-panel in single layout, which takes all vertical space very quickly.

But it would be much comfortable if there was possibility to add more N-panels by splitting, just like the outliners or property windows. The N-panels, can have separate pin and visibility settings, this way it could be more effective with use of horizontal space, also it can help with vertical overload of custom addons.

We are not sure how exactly the N-panels are coded, but probably it could be not hard to add the duplicate of them into "Editor Type" area, this change would make the UI much more comfortable to use, also by boosting the work with addons.

Imagine to have N-panel on any side of screen, with different custom settings as you need.

(Note: the official name is "sidebar", not n-panel).

Thanks for the note, we fixed the title.

For the clutter in the N Panel I designed the N Panel Manager. While it doesn't manage the N Panel directly, it solves the clutter problem by making use of workspace filtering. The N Panel Manager provides quite some filtering options, and a UI to manage your setup. See: blendermarket.com/products/n-panel-manager
