Convert Index values to string / numerical values
I can place an instance of an object at each index but how can I replace each instance with it's corresponding numerical index value? (Is this just an over site?)
My goal is to show the numerical index value and where it's located at/on an object (for faces/edges/vertices) using geometry nodes.
Example: Instead of showing cylinders have it display the corresponding index value.
My thought process was to:
1) Convert each numerical index to a string and
2) Place that string at it's corresponding index location. But ran into an issue at the start with converting the index value to a string. (Is this an over site?)
Note: The goal is to do this in Geometry Nodes. Is this even possible without using a loop (which GN doesn't have yet)?
I also tried this:

Oh hey, funny thing about digits: they repeat. Only need one more for base 10, then add a little logic for digit columns (ones, tens... that's enough for now), then shift the ones column sideways so they don't overlap... Index labels up to 99 let's go!
This is a problem of circles vs diamonds... um... Fields .
I have found several times that the way I was trying to solve a problem was not in line with this paradigm, and I think there may be performance reasons behind keeping this limitation.
The most "straightforward" way I know of to do what you're trying to do is to put your number>string>curve>mesh logic in its own node group, including any post-processing you'll want to do on the digit meshes. Then use multiple instances of your new node group—one for each digit—to create mesh instances. After stacking these into Geometry to Instance you can Instance on Points and use Pick Instance to choose your digit meshes. TL;DR pix
