Allow Color Palettes to be 'Assetized' --for Asset-Library Workflows
Hello, fellows!
I believe this needs urgent upgrade for "vanilla" Blender. Instead of having to manage weird files, and relying on Extensions/Addons, just getting the Asset-Marking functionality to the Palette would be a fundamental improvement to various Workflows in Blender (especially the 2D-relates ones, involving GP, but likely Texture as well).
Note: we have access to Palette for GP's Draw Mode, when the Color Attribute Radio Button is turned on while on Draw Mode for the Grease Pencil Object. Now, consider that it doesn't matter if I Append/Link the Material of that GP Object, or the entire GP Object itself (in the case these were Assetized)...!!! The color Palette(s) doesn't (/don't) come with it...!! This is (almost) a tragedy --for 2D or "2.5D" Workflows!😿
EDITED: There is, currently, this workaround [link below] which is an ok alternative for the time being and a good approximation to what might be considered an ideal Workflow; I've just found the information, and I can't say it was easy. Of course, a "Mark as Asset" Operator, with all its implication in the Asset Library system, would be the next level!

This is part of the 'Extended Asset Browser' experimental option available in alpha builds, but at the moment there seems to be no way to use them once they are marked as assets.
