Enable Multiple Viewport Preview Render Passes at the Same Time
It is so cool that we can preview the render passes directly in viewport now, but I find it a bit strange that it cannot enable two passes at the same time, like enabling "Diffuse Direct" and "Diffuse Indirect" at the same time, so that we can quickly see the lighting settings without the distraction of materials. I suggest adding the feature of shift click on the passes, then they will combine and display at the same time. To make that happen, we also need to have the selected passes to turn blue, so that it would not be confusing.

This should be possible once viewport compositing has been implemented.
* @Johan Aantjes * There will be a viewport compositing feature? Where did you find the info? I cannot find anything related.
* @EaryChow * They talked about it recently in one of the blender today streams. Someone is working on a feature which will enable this feature, but it won't be implemented straight away..
* @Johan Aantjes * That sounds very vague, did they say anything about when it will be done? Or what stage of development it is in?
* @EaryChow * Cant remember, but it'll most likely be this year.
* @Johan Aantjes * I just asked him in today's Blender Today. The feature of viewing the passes itself is already the "Viewport Compositing". So it's not like you can use nodes to combine the passes. This proposal is still valid and still needs people to work on.
* @EaryChow * You must have misunderstood Delai in the stream. He said that the viewport passes are a step closer to the feature, and in the future this could expand to realtime viewing of the compositor. This means that my comment is still valid: The foundations are there, but viewport compositing itself will not be implemented anytime soon as it's not a priority for now.
The following post talks about the projects that have priority for now, if you're interested: code.blender.org/2020/01/2020-blender-big-projects/
* @Johan Aantjes * Alright, thank you for expaining.
