RENAMING F-curve modifiers

Why can not be the F-curve modifiers Renamed like the Mesh modifiers. They can Be denoted with letters or colors since they are limited. Too much confusing when more in number. You do not know to which portion a certain modifier is applied. Naming can Help. Am I wrong?
