One camera-view/perspective for all workspaces.

all workspaces have the same perspective/userview, when you change a workspace this perspective is perserved.

The same should apply to the viewportshading, this should stay the same, so that you don't accidentally jump from solid to rendered.

I could see this being an optional preference, but there are big advantages to having per-view/per-workspace render and view settings that would take a big step backwards if removed.

here again as a picture! which hopefully clarifies the problem Of course, you should and must have the option to change the display to wireframe shading and renderd, but what would be desirable, is that if I change something in a workspace and then jump to another workspace it should stay in focus in the other workspaces, GreasePencil VFX/Composit excluded

But how would you manage that? Some workspaces need a specific setting on the viewport. I.E the shading type, you need the material view at least. 2D Animation, you need at least material view with some specific overlays and color management. If everything is linked again, then the purpose of workspace is lost. So you would need something to tell blender which workspaces' 3D view to link up?
