comments sorted by 'likes' breaks conversation flow

Title pretty much sums it up, but yeah. I get why it's useful for Blender Today posts (get the most interesting questions floated to the top), but for a community site where discussion is the whole point, it makes it hard to actually discuss things. You end up with more recent responses floating higher than the original comments they were responding to if it has more likes. It's a nice idea- i just think it needs a better implementation. Perhaps comments with lots of likes just need some sort of additional flare to call your attention to them- but keep them in the proper chronological order?

Indeed. I've had some trouble following some comment threads. Ideally, it should be ordered by date and have a dropdown menu (or switch of some kind) somewhere to select the option to order it by most liked.

My experience with responding to a reply to one of my comments is that my reply to that reply appeared right on top of that reply, even without any likes. It just put mine on top for no apparent reason.

EDIT: Actually, while I'm at it, I have to complain about notifications not working for me. I don't get notified when someone replies to my comments. Does this happen to anyone else? Also, I can't make my profile image to show up in this site.

I also have the same problems. I think everyone has them, but do not really care about that yet. It would be nice to have nationality too, to know when someone speaks bad English and not to specify each time. And create a community to put news and requests for improvements to this website. Grouping similar posts would also be super convenient so as not to overload the proposals.

Ah yes. This must've been one of the changes that was implemented at the same time that we got post statuses. Hopefully it's something relatively easy to fix in Dillo on a per-community basis.
